  Monkey Cat is a really nice, upscale place in Auburn to eat dinner. The atmosphere is great. There is wonderful local art always on display (and for sale) on the wall.
  
  The food top notch. Definitely the best Rib Eye steak in Auburn (and we have some good ones). Don't believe the crazy reviews of cooking twice and feeding to your dog...Really? If that's how you handle it...you're just nuts and if I was owner...I'd say bye....please don't come back, you're crazy.
  
  Monkey Cat has been Auburn's fine dining location for over a decade. It's not by accident. Enjoy.

  It has a nice location and good ambience but the service and the food certainly do not justify the cost. The food was honestly ho-hum. It's really unfortunate as they seem to have a great reputation that is largely unwarranted. In talking with friends who have been there this seems to be their experience as well.
